  1. The Barking Cards Lite Mother's Day Readme File  4/30/97

  3. Barking Cards Lite includes one of our favorite cards for you to 
  4. personalize and send.  You can customize the text in the cards, add 
  5. more text, add photos or clip art, record voice messages or add 
  6. pre-recorded sounds.  When you're done personalizing a card, simply 
  7. hit the DONE button on Main Editing screen and follow the instructions
  8. for saving the card.  You can then send the self playing card to your
  9. recipient by attaching it to an email or by saving it to diskette and
  10. sending the diskette.  The self playing card will run on any Windows
  11. 3.1 or Windows 95 system with the following minimum requirements:

  13. - 486DX (or higher) IBM PC compatible 
  14. - 8 MB of RAM
  15. - 5 MB of available disk space
  16. - VGA or higher Video board
  17. - Sound card (if you want them to hear the sounds)

  32. To Install the product:
  33.  
  34. 1. Use an unzipping program (like PKUNZIP) to unzip the BARKMOM.ZIP
  35. file into a temporary directory.
  36. 2. Run the Setup.exe program from that directory and follow the 
  37. instructions.  DO NOT INSTALL "BARKING CARDS LITE" INTO THE SAME
  38. TEMPORARY DIRECTORY IN WHICH YOU PLACED BARKMOM.ZIP. THIS WILL CAUSE
  39. SOME QUIRKY PROBLEMS.

  41. Also the installation program doesn't recognize long file names so
  42. don't use a directory name of longer than 8 characters (or the 
  43. files won't install).

  45. (Sorry, the Barking Cards program is cool but the third party 
  46. installation we chose for its small size leaves a little bit to
  47. be desired).

  50. Barking Cards Lite is a trial version of our Barking Cards 
  51. product line.  You may use it for 30 days to evaluate it provided you 
  52. agree to the licensing terms for evaluation users in the LICENSE.TXT
  53. file. If you don't agree to the terms then you should remove our
  54. product from your computer.  After 30 days, if you are satisfied 
  55. with this trial version and wish to continue using it, you must 
  56. register it.  Use the ORDER.TXT form for registration.  The 
  57. registration price is $7.95.

  59. The Barking Cards Lite software may be distributed freely in the
  60. original form (i.e. BARKMOM.zip) as downloaded from from any of Blaze 
  61. Technologies' authorized distribution outlets.  You are not permitted 
  62. to modify the software from its original form, and you are not 
  63. permitted to distribute any installed copy  or separate files.
  64. Please refer to the licensing agreement (LICENSE.TXT) for more 
  65. information.

  67. Disk Vendors, Shareware Distributors and BBS(s) may charge a nominal
  68. fee for distribution of Barking Cards 96 Lite. The recipient of our
  69. product must be informed, in advance, that the fee paid to acquire it
  70. does not relieve the recipient from purchasing Barking Cards 96 Lite
  71. if the recipient continues to use the software.

  76. JPEG and WMF files and a TWAIN interface module for that enables a
